Please save the date -- Monday, September 30, 2013 -- for J Street's gala dinner held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC.

You won't want to miss the highlight of J Street’s National Conference—Our Time to Lead—featuring key political leaders, advocates and experts from across the country and around the world. Previous conferences have featured former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, former Jordanian Foreign Minister Marwan Muasher, now-Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel and senior advisor to the President Valerie Jarrett. Notable leaders of American and Israeli civil society have also participated including Israeli Religious Action Center director Anat Hoffman, author Amos Oz, the chief American reform rabbi Eric Yoffie and members of the US Congress and Israeli Knesset.

We will also honor two outstanding members of our community for their lifelong commitment to Israeli-Palestinian peace and for their tireless support of J Street. Nancy Bagley, President of the Arca Foundation and Editor in Chief of Washington Life Magazine, and Morton H. Halperin, Senior Advisor for the Open Society Institute, will receive the 2013 Tzedek v’Shalom (Justice and Peace) Award which recognizes individuals who have made outstanding personal contributions to the promotion of peace and social justice in the Middle East and America and whose public service is an exemplar of the core Jewish value of tikkun olam — “healing the world.”

Please join us for this tribute and for what will surely be an inspiring and powerful evening.
