The Continued Quest for Statehood: A Palestinian View
Monday, February 28, 3:15 - 4:30pm
Room 152AB
Given the present impasse in peace negotiations, Palestinian national leaders are seeking a new way
forward to end the occupation and create a Palestinian state. In the quest for statehood and selfdetermination,
these leaders share a deep commitment to achieving freedom through diplomacy and
non-violent means. Today they face a pressing question: what’s the way forward? Whether through
negotiation, non-violent resistance, or even unilateral actions, how will Palestinian leaders deliver their
people a state, and what role should the U.S. take in this process?
