The Campus Challenge: Changing the Conversation in an Environment of Extreme Polarization
Monday, February 28, 10:45 - 12:00pm
Room 143ABC
In a campus environment where the extremes on both sides are often the loudest voices, how do students
create a middle ground of nuance, critique, and support for both Israel and the Palestinians? What is the role
of the Jewish community on campus in defending Israel, engaging students in a relationship to the Jewish
homeland, and creating avenues for students to act on their values? How do students bring together their
Jewish and democratic values of justice and equality and their commitment to a Jewish state?
