Expanding the Tent for the Two-State Solution in Israel
Sunday, February 27, 10:10-11:25am
Room 151B
Building a coalition of Israeli support for a two-state solution and ultimately winning public endorsement
of an agreement requires expanding beyond traditional constituencies. This panel will explore how to
broaden support for resolving the conflict toward the center and center-right, with the head of the Knesset’s new two-state lobby and a former top aide to Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. They’ll examine such key questions as whose support is it possible to get in Israel, what messages will reach them, and who is best positioned to carry these messages forward.
Panelists:
Yoel Hasson, Member of Knesset (Kadima) and head of the Two State Lobby
Oren Magnezy, Former Advisor to then-Prime Minister Ariel Sharon
Dahlia Scheindlin, Israeli political consultant and public opinion analyst
Moderator: Attila Somfalvi, Diplomatic & Political Correspondent and Analyst, Ynet
Chair: Rachel Steinberg, International Education Program Manager, OneVoice
