Elusive Peace to Inclusive Peace: The Role of Women in Ending the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
Monday, February 28, 10:45 - 12:00pm
Room 151B

What role do women play in resolving the conflict, both at the table and behind the scenes? How have
Israeli and Palestinian societies incorporated women into decision-making processes, not only at the
negotiating table but in foreign policy in general? Would incorporating more women make for a more
successful peace process? What resources are or should be available to encourage an increased role?
What can we do about women’s inclusion in this issue? Even if we’re discouraged about the status of
negotiations, what can we do to work on who’s sitting at the table?

Panelists:
Carla Koppell, Director, Institute for Inclusive Security
Orit Zuaretz, Member of Knesset (Labor)

Moderator: Representative Betty McCollum (MN-04)
Chair: Efrat Levy, Givat Haviva
