One of the defining constraints of American policy in the Middle East has been the lack of political space in
Congress for free and open discussion about difficult issues involving Israel and the region. What changes
have taken place in Congress over the last few years? What recommendations do pro-Israel, pro-peace
allies in Congress have for further opening up the discussion on American policy in the Middle East?
